DSC (DIGTAL SIGNATURE CERTIFICATE) REGISTRATION IN INDIA
Digital Signature Certificate, it is a signature to be registered by the director of the company so that any e-statement can be signed. It ensures the authenticity and security of a document filed electronically.
PROSESS OF REGISTRATION
To get the DSC, one can approach certifying authorities (CA) with original supporting documents and self attested copies of documents.
A letter/certificate issued by a Bank containing the DSC applicant’s information as retained in the Bank database can be accepted. Such letter/certificate should be certified by the Bank Manager.
DSCs can also be obtained, using Aadhar, eKYC based authentication.
TIME FOR REGISTRATION
The time generally taken by CAs to issue a DSC may vary from three to seven working days. On fulfillment of terms and conditions, DSC is issued by some CA’s on same day also.
COST OF REGISTRATION
The cost of obtaining a digital signature certificate may vary as there are many entities issuing DSCs and their charges may differ. Cost generally ranges from INR 2000-4000 for different agencies.
